If you’re looking for an easy way to get the job done, you can’t afford to get hacked by the NSA.
It takes a $30,000 computer to compromise the nation’s security, according to the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, and the NSA has the capacity to compromise your entire network in minutes.
In short, there’s no way to hack into a system that’s as secure as the one you’re trying to protect.
This is especially true if you have access to sensitive documents, as was the case with the NSA’s massive data breach of 2015.
There are ways around this if you’ve got the money.
Here are seven ways to avoid getting hacked in the digital age.
Set up a VPN.
If you’ve set up a dedicated, publicly accessible computer for online banking, social media, or other services, you should be able to access them with a VPN service.
But if you’re just getting started, there are a few more steps you can take to protect your online security.
First, set up an encrypted network, as opposed to a public VPN.
This means that you’re essentially encrypting your entire Internet traffic, meaning that it won’t be logged and analyzed by the government.
If it’s a VPN that only allows you to access the company you’ve connected to, you’ll need to set up your own VPN for your entire home network.
Second, ensure you’ve created an offline backup of your personal data.
This can be done through Dropbox, Google Drive, or iCloud, or if you use the company’s service for your business, you may want to set your data up to backup through your cloud service.
Finally, ensure that your private key has been securely stored away from the company.
This ensures that your data isn’t leaked or stolen, which can be particularly important if you are an NSA target.
You should also be wary of the “zero day” attack, in which the NSA targets a target by injecting code into a website that doesn’t exist and exploits a vulnerability in that website’s code to gain access to your system.
This isn’t something you can do easily, however.
You need to have a dedicated server that has been setup for this purpose.
You can find this out with an online service like CheckSecurity, which lets you set up private and public VPNs.
